Nazariya is an initiative of DRISHTI (www.drishtimedia.org) to introduce alternative perception in our society by screening documentaries and short films that reflect a broader reality of the people in our society. Nazariya acknowledges the possibility of another point of view, another version of truth, another way of viewing. Nazariya is an attempt to reach out to newer unreached audiences through films.
 
1. Objective
The principal objective of the non-competitive Nazariya Women Film Festival is to promote and encourage awareness, appreciation and understanding of women’s issues through films. Our mandate is to present the most sensitively made, powerful and pertinent films produced. We invite entries from across the globe. We select films on the basis of theme, quality and originality.  
2. Dates of Festival
1st Week of  March, 2010
3. Deadlines
Submission deadline is 15th February,2010 for the selection process.
 
4. Festival Procedures
Because of the number of entries received, not all entriescan be screened during the festival . A prescreening committee comprising of young volunteers of Nazariya will prescreen each entry to determine which works are selected for screening during the festival festival. 
5. Publicity materials
Please send stills of the films (minimum 5), photograph of the director (minimum 3)
