The World AIDS Campaign is producing a video about HIV and AIDS, human rights and young people as leaders. The concept for the video still needs to be decided. Since a video about young people should be made by young people themselves, WAC has created a blog (http://wacyouthvideo.wordpress.com)

The immediate issue of i4d magazine – November is woven with the theme of ‘HIV/AIDS’. We encourage wide variety of submissions on the topic areas outlined below. Please note that the articles/papers will be edited to fit the required length, which is two to three printed pages, or 1500-3000 words.

HIV/AIDS prevalence is comparatively very low in our country of 140 million people. However, high internal migration, lack of awareness and knowledge about HIV/AIDS transmission, commercial sex-trades, untreated sexual diseases amongst the sex workers, use of un-sterilized syringes in drugs and blood or medicines injecting or collecting, untested blood transmission and collection can aggravate the HIV/AIDS spread scenario. Refusal to use of condoms (in penetrative sexual activities) and collection of bloods from commercial donors are risky.
