I am Reza working in a development organization in Khulna , named SHED. It basically works on HIV as an activist organization. In the sex worker community of different areas of Khulna work. We are now working in the hotel based sex workers community. Last year we have discovered a unknown hidden area where live part time sex workers who are doing sex trade within and outside of country. This area becomes a high risk area in the Khulna , comprises three sub districts ‘Oboyoienagar', ‘Degolia' and ‘Kalia'. The communities are floating live most of time of year lives in Bombay , Dubai , Kolkata and Dhaka . Their main earning source is sex trade. They are generally from disadvantaged and the poorest family. After return from aboard they show attitude like rich.

When we try to motivate by our AIDS program as we can not give substantial result as like their income. As a result they don't change their. As the boarder is nearby they easily go to the India by road. However they are very venerable. We are trying to back them in normal life and save them from the sex trade and violence. Because of their poverty they are most of cause bound to marry with broker. We are trying to stop this process.

We are now trying to protect them by making alternative earning source and can escape this venerable situation. However as they are floating and live of month outside of residence, make difficulty to protect them, we can not reach our program properly as we don't live in fixed station. If we can motivate them to live in certain place the self motivation for trafficking will be decreased. As a result we will be able to aware in the rights issue as well as on human rights, HIV/AIDS, STD ( sexual transmission disease ). Last year we restore 61 women by micro-finance. They are now doing small business to make net, small garden, paltry farming by the way they are establishing the area. Last year we did a case study and discover such kinds 1300 family. If we can restore these family through economical empowerment, they will be back in normal life, at the same time the area also will develop, the risk factors for HIV/AIDS transmission will be decreased.
