The floating sex worker Parul, 23,Slama,20 Mita,20 and Rahima,23 are passing their days in the Municipal park and behind the Martyrs tower of town hall of Comilla town by sitting or sleeping. The nights are going on here and there according to the will of the customer. They do not know anything about sexual disease or AIDS.

Rahima says that ,I come to sell my body and the customer will purchase the body according to his will. What should I do with the condom alone?

They are moving not only in Municipality park or in the area of Martyrs tower, they move and do their used jobs in the Stadium, Railway Station, solitary open places in the town. Like them about from one hundred to one hundred fifty goy girls used to come and go away everyday in the town. Everybody are unconscious about their health and suffering from many kinds of sexual diseases. Amongst the partners these sexual workers 60% are not using condoms, 88% percent of the sexual workers are attacked with the sexual diseases. The attacked sexual worker and 52% of their partners do not fell necessity of any treatment. There are one hundred fifty thousand laborers work in different workshops, Nineteen thousand rickshaw pullers and five thousand truck drivers are living in this town. Their lions share are the customer of floating sex workers. Besides there are residential or non-residential maid servants who voluntarily or compelled to serve in sexual work by the side of their usual jobs.

There are more girls who are doing the sexual work temporarily in fields with necessary of opportunities or gift with reference to this context the associate professor of comilla Medical Collage Hospital department of skin and sexual diseases Md. Abdul Mannan says “There is apprehension of attacking with HIV/AIDS diseases to the sexual workers and their partners. The rickshaw pullers and the people of working class of labours carry the syphilis, gonorrhea etc diseases.” These unlettered labors class customers do not take the shelter of physicians of or want of money or social reason like this kind the customer Shahid, Rassul, Delwar say “ It is useable if found suitable. Where is the time to examine whether there is disease or not. As a result the mentionable portions are suffering from syphilis, gonorrhea and other sexual disease, and according to the opinion of Dr. Abdul Kadir Miah the civil surgeon of Comilla is “ officially we examine the technical side that is through district information office, NGO, Islamic foundation etc, the different meeting , seminars and training programmes are held. We used to go there and delivered our lecturers.

The prevention of AIDS and to control HIV/AIDS examine them in Comilla Medical Collage Hospital , Daudkandi Health Complex and district sadar Hospital. He answered to a question whether HIV/AIDS are risky, he says”

It is mentioned in a survey of care that there are more than 6000 sexual workers in 18 prostitutions and there are 5000 floating women sexual workers in different area of Dhaka. Amongst them about 7% sexual workers have the symptoms of sexual diseases. It is found from the survey of the drugs addicted persons on 430 in Rajshahi and 450 in Dhaka that 71% in Dhaka and 5% in Rajshahi fulfilled the sexual desire with the sexual workers in exchange of money only. The rate of using safety measure by the professional sexual workers is dangerously less. In this stage the sexual workers that are happened in both the cases the safety measures are less. From the high ratio of the companions of women sexual workers and using of less ratio safety measures it is evident that if any infection of HIV is happened either of any person then that will be spreaded rapidly to all because of less used of condoms.

It is mentioned by the government in the fourth serological surveillance that though the numbers of sexual companions of sexual workers are more in Bangladesh in comparison with any countries in Asia but the using of condoms in sexual works here is less. According to statistics in this country amongst the customers in prostitutions in hotels in and floating sexual workers 98% hotels staying sexual workers 96% are using condoms. Two third of the rickshaw puller and track drivers are never used condoms. The using of condoms is more less amongst the male sodomists. It is mentioned in the BRACK surveillance report of Asia pacific disease attack of world health organization (WHO) that in the field of sexual works with the sexual workers the using of condoms is less. At a result this is risky for Bangladesh which may push this country towards AIDS epidemic. In the country only two to four percent sexual workers used condoms in case of customers.

According to statistical report published by the Bangladesh human rights Commission recently- About one hundred and fifty thousand smugglers are carrying the germs of AIDS. In these areas the men-women and adolescent boys and girls who are engaged in smuggling they are all in risk of AIDS. The Smuggling engaged in border areas the polygamy’s of men and women The HIV/AIDS are dominant due to un-consciousness. The participation of the women in smuggling is increasing gradually. These women of poor class involved in smuggling with the utmost want. They are regularly caught in the hands of BSF and BDR while they are crossing the border illegally. They are sexually oppressed day after day while they are arrested. They are again engaged in sexual intercourse with their husbands in the country after release, and many want to cross the border with commodity safely voluntarily participated intercourse with the border security force considering these aspect this may be said that the Bangladesh is surely a risky area.
According to the statistics voluntary organization CIDA in Bangladesh that some of the medias of infections of AIDS virus the track drivers are one. At present there are 10 cross border zone in the border areas of the country about 200 trucks entered into this country daily through these ways. More two helpers including with the drivers are staying here at least 7 to 10 days. As a result of their going to the prostitution in our country the sexual workers are attacked with AIDS diseases and other diseases. Beside with the perspective of Bangladesh the infection by HIV attack is comparatively risky to the residential lab ours because most of the residents are half learnt or illiterate. Before or after immigration there is no opportunity to learn or counseling about the AIDS/HIV positive or safety any processes and after immigration with the changes of ,socially respective the lonely life in abroad money and easily available of sexual workers are the main cases of spreading AIDS. Fifty there 53% returned laborers have no knowledge or ignorant about AIDS. A great part of this Bangladeshi population do not know yet that how HIV spread from one to another. A truck driver and rickshaw puller have 6 to 10 sexual workers annually. On the other side a women sexual worker of brothel has sexual companion averagely 18.8 per week and a sexual worker of hotel has 44 which is maximum in comparison with other countries in Asia. And 11.59% people do not know that the AIDS is a sexual infections disease and the idea of 54% people that AIDS may be attacked if sexual desire fulfilled with a AIDS attacked patient.

In this side the voluntary organization `Distry’ worked with the sexual workers through HIV/STI prevention project they began the counseling service from December-05.

The treatment service is one day in a week, training for increasing income that is sewing, making eave lops, rearing, Cow and goat etc. The seven sexual workers including other five. Beside this the changes for behavior through the training i.e. taking training of Behaviors change communication the sexual workers in using the condoms. Programme are encouraging their customers to use the condoms and its process. Sharmin Kadir, the executive Director of the Distry says” The main problem is that the mails in Bangladesh think un respectful the sexual unsafely ( insecurity) while they are going to sexual workers. Even the sexual workers were injured by beating of the customers while they were requested to use the safety measure. ”
Recently through the training programme of Distry HIV-positive Masuma,32 (Disguise name) gets the idea about HIV/AIDS and says, “At first day while I heard from the doctor Apa (Sister) it appears to one “. This is a very rich (Gora Roug) disease for the poor”. But for the last three months gradually get idea about sexual disease.

But most of the sexual workers have no idea about HIV/AIDS. And floating sexual worker Salma says, “ We are in brought to procure money for our livelihood ,where is the opportunity to test? The customer are our hope.”
