A huge number of garment workers live in Savar, one industrial belt, 20 kilometres remote from the capital city Dhaka. The workers need at least Tk 2000 a month to maintain minimum standard of life with three times meal and small shelter. But the workers get only monthly wage is only Tk 922. S/he lives every moment lives with financial crisis. How miserable their life style. The prolonging sufferings sparked off the labour’s unrest at the factories in Dhaka and elsewhere the country spilling violent protests and anarchy in mid June 2006. It was not cause; the analysts said – is the result of injustice, labour rights violence and very low salary as well. The thousands workers voiced their rights and reality. But at last it was coloured politically by the factory owners, the marginalised labour could not get their legal and logical rights. The exploited innocent pushed to go back factory, are working in same trap, as they don’t have alternative to live. However the Bangladeshi garments workers are living in high risk labour and extreme poverty, even though they work from 8 A.M- 8 P.M. The accidents like building collapse, fire are also becomes a common incidence of this industry. They don’t have life security and circumstances for living with human dignity. The factory worker don’t want to take their responsibility, just wants to use for production and income like machine!
